Statewide Descriptor Table D62 Accounting Period
The D62 table defines the valid accounting periods by transaction (fiscal) year for reporting and processing purposes. System Management Tables also access these dates for system control reasons.

TRANS YEAR
Enter the four-digit transaction year (fiscal year).
Enter the two-digit fiscal period code (01-04).
01 – July-September
02 – October-December
03 – January-March
04 – April-June
STARS DATE
Enter the eight-digit start of period date. Identifies the first day of the period. Use the following based on the PERIOD indicator:
0701 (year) – For period 01, the year should be the calendar year, which would be the year before the Trans (fiscal) Year.
1001 (year) – For period 02, the year should be the calendar year, which would be the year before the Trans (fiscal) Year.
0101 (year) – For period 03, the year would equal the Trans (fiscal) Year.
0401 (year) – For period 04, the year would equal the Trans (fiscal) Year.
END DATE
Enter the eight-digit end of period date. Identifies the last day of the period. Use the following based on the PERIOD indicator:
0930(year) – For period 01, the year should be the calendar year, which would be the year before the Trans (fiscal) Year.
1231(year) – For period 02, the year should be the calendar year, which would be the year before the Trans (fiscal) Year.
0331(year) – For period 03, the year would equal the Trans (fiscal) Year.
0630(year) – For period 04, the year would equal the Trans (fiscal) Year.
NOTE: You do not need to post a period for fiscal month 13 (06-31-xx)
