Statewide Descriptor Table D61 Date Control
The D61 Date Control table defines dates for STARS processing, and includes indicators that control system processing. Dates for STARS reports come from this table. The System Management Table also uses these dates for system control reasons.

CURRENT DATE
Enter the eight-digit current date (MMDDCCYY). STARS requires the current process date to be on this table to complete system processing. Use June 31 to process fiscal year end closing transactions.
FISCAL MNTH
Enter the two-digit month of the fiscal year (01-13).
(E.g., 01 = July, 02 = Aug, etc.) STARS uses month 13 to process fiscal year end close transactions.
PERIOD
Enter the two-digit fiscal period code (01-05).
01 – July-September
02 – October-December
03 – January-March
04 – April-June
05 – Not currently in use (Can use for FYE close or when periods are defined as something other than a quarter.)
TRANS YEAR
Enter the four-digit fiscal year.
(E.g., 2001 = July 1, 2000 through June 30, 2001, incl June 31.)
FISCAL JULIAN DY
Enter the three-digit fiscal Julian day.
(E.g., 001 = July 1, 002 = July 2, etc.)
WEEK END IN
Enter the one-character workweek ending indicator:
Y – Current date is the end of a workweek (Friday unless it is a holiday).
N – Current date is not the end of a workweek.
PERIOD END IND
Enter the one-character work period ending indicator:
Y – Current date is the last working day at the end of a period.
N – Current date is not the last working day at the end of a period.
MNTH END IND
Enter the one-character work month ending indicator:
Y – Current date is the last working day of a month.
N – Current date is not the last working day of a month.
QTR END IND
Enter the one-character work quarter ending indicator. Since the period and quarter are the same in STARS, this indicator should be the same as the PERIOD END IND.
Y – Current date is the last working day at the end of a quarter.
N – Current date is not the last working day at the end of a quarter.
YEAR END IND
Enter the one-character work year-ending indicator:
Y – Current date is the last working day of the fiscal year (end of June).
N – Current date is not the last working day of a fiscal year.
NEXT EFF DT
Enter the eight-digit next effective date. Identifies the next processing date, not just the next day. (E.g., for 12-31-01, the next effective date is 01-02-02 since the first is a holiday.) Do not enter a Saturday or Sunday unless it is fiscal month 13 and processing will be done during the weekend.
TYPE OF DAY
Enter the one-character type of day indicator. Identifies if the day is a weekday or a weekend.
W – Week day
E – Weekend day or holiday
DEPR RUN IND
Enter the one-character depreciation run indicator. Depreciation should normally run on the last working day of the month.
Y – Depreciation should run
N – Depreciation should not run
