Note: The AH change reason can be entered by agencies if the employee is changing their appointment code from classified to classified, or non-classified to non-classified. However, if the employee's appointmnet code is changing from non-classified to classified or vice versa, then the agency will need to submit a Personnel Remark to request that DSP add the AH change reason to the employee's profile. A Position Control action would need to be completed first in order to update the PCN Type, prior to the Personnel Remark being submitted.
Using an AH change reason will keep the employee in their current pcn.If the employee is changing from a non-classified to a classified appointment code combination, the employee's pay schedule and pay rate must match the pay grade assigned to the employee's class code. (For more information, visit the IDHR Website). If the employee's pay schedule, grade and step need to change, then a seperate Rate/Salary action must be completed after the AH change reason has posted. If the employee's pay rate needs to change, then a separate Rate/Salary action must be entered. If the employee's FLSA Code needs to change, then a separate MW - Miscellaneous Personnel action must be completed.
