AQ - Reinstatement (Statewide) (Classified only)

Purpose: Used to hire a former or current state employee from another agency to the same, comparable, or lesser classification to which he/she held permanent status. 
 
General requirements for processing an 'AQ' (Reinstatement - Statewide - Classified only)
  • Employees may be required to pass an examination.
  • The length of reinstatement eligibility is equal to the amount of time the employee was in probationary and permanent employment.
  • An employee is not eligible for reinstatement unless their separation is without prejudice.

Employee Base Information           

 A valid e-mail address is required.
Note: If an employee is active at one agency and another agency hires them, their deductions must be set up as 'Eligible' and 'Not Wanted'.  Deductions can be updated when the employee terminates from the original agency.
  • The employee's  Original Hire Date and Credited State Service Hours will be advanced to the employee’s active record.
  • If the Termination Date is less than 3 years, the sick leave balance will be advanced to the employee’s active record.
  • If the employee is rehired with a different name, an alias will be created.
