Statewide Classification Structure Reports 

Reports can be run in IBIS that will show your agency’s classification structure. 

In Online Reporting on the SCO Web site, several DAFR reports are available (see below).

General Ledger (Trial Balance) Reports

All trial balance reports show all G/L categories (assets, liabilities, etc.) and list each subsidiary under the respective G/L account. 

DAFR0104 Trial Balance by Grant
List trial balance by Transaction Year, by fund/detail, and by grant/phase. Totals by grant then fund.

DAFR6960 Statewide Trial Balance by Fund
Lists trial balance by Transaction Year and by fund. Shows each G/L account and subsidiaries accumulated statewide. It shows the beginning balance, debits, credits, and ending balance.

DAFR8160 Trial Balance by Fund/Grant
List trial balance by Transaction Year, by fund/dtl, and by grant/ph. Accumulates by grant then fund

DAFR8180 Trial Balance by Fund, GL Acct, & Transaction Code
Lists a trial balance by fund, G/L account, then transaction code. Shows the beginning balance, debits, credits, and ending balance for each transaction code posted to the G/L account.

DAFR8750 (SS1: D31) Descriptor Table Report – D31 General Ledger Account
Lists all general ledgers on the General Ledger Account Table by G/L account, reference data, and title. You can find this information online under Table Maintenance – Descriptor (23) – Table ID number 31.

Subsidiary Reports

DAFR6980 Subsidiary Transaction Analysis Report
Shows individual subsidiary transactions processed during the month.

DAFR8750 (SS1: D32 Descriptor Table Report – D32 Subsidiary Table
Lists all subsidiaries on the Subsidiary Table by G/L account, subsidiary number, and subsidiary title. You can find this information online under Table Maintenance – Descriptor (23) – Table ID number 32.

Transaction Code Reports

DAFR8640 Transaction Code Decision Table List – Autodoc
Lists all of the transaction codes for STARS input. Shows the transaction codes, general ledger accounts, input requirements, how the transaction posts to different files, the approval level, and a brief explanation of the transaction code usage. DAFR8740 GLA vs. Tran Code Cross Reference
Lists all of the STARS general ledger accounts and the transaction codes that post to each G/L account. It shows if the TCs debit or credit the general ledger account and provides the title of each transaction code. See the Transaction Code Decision Table document for more information.

DAFR8750 (SS1: D50) Descriptor Table Report – D50 Transaction Code Comment/Approval Table
Lists all transaction codes on the Transaction Code Comment/Approval Table by transaction code, approval level, and title. You can find this information online under Table Maintenance – Descriptor (23) – Table ID number 50 This information is included in the DAFR8640 by transaction code.

Fund Reports

DAFR8750 (SS1: D22) Descriptor Table Report – D22 FUND Table
Lists all funds and their controls. Shows the fund number, the controls in the reference data field, and the title. The title may also include where the authority came from to establish the fund. You can find this information online under Table Maintenance – Descriptor (23) – Table ID number 22.

DAFR8750 (SS1: D23) Descriptor Table Report – D23 FUND DETAIL Table
Lists all fund detail and their controls. Shows the fund and fund detail number, the controls in the reference data field, and the title. The title may also include where the authority came from to establish the fund. You can find this information online under Table Maintenance – Descriptor (23) – Table ID number 23.

DAFR8750 (SS1: D21) Descriptor Table Report – D21 GAAP FUND TYPE Table
Lists all GAAP fund types. Shows the GAAP fund type, the controls in the reference data field (such as the transaction codes STARS uses for closing entries at year-end), and the title. You can find this information online under Table Maintenance – Descriptor (23) – Table ID number 21.

Object Reports

DAFR8750 (SS1: D10) Descriptor Table Report – D10 EXPENDITURE SUBOBJECT Table
Lists all expenditure objects, summary objects and subobjects. Shows the object, summary object, or subobject number, what object and summary object the subobject will roll into for reporting, the FAS capitalization indicator, if the subobject may be 1099-reportable, the governmental and proprietary class, if the subobject will print on the Workers Compensation report to the State Insurance Fund, and the title. DAFR8750 (SS1: D34) Descriptor Table Report – D34 REVENUE SUBOBJECT Table
Lists all revenue objects, summary objects and subobjects. Shows the object, summary object, or subobject number, what object and summary object the subobject will roll into for reporting, the governmental and proprietary class, the FAS asset class, and the title. You can find this information online under Table Maintenance – Descriptor (23) – Table ID number 34. Since this report may be difficult to read, please see the DAFR6650 Report.

State Goal, State Objective, and Department Reports

DAFR8750 (SS1: D71)Descriptor Table Report – D71 STATE GOAL Table
Lists all state goal numbers. Shows the state goal number and the title. You can find this information online under Table Maintenance – Descriptor (23) – Table ID number 71.

DAFR8750 (SS1: D72) Descriptor Table Report – D72 STATE OBJECTIVE Table
Lists all state objective numbers. Shows the state goal number each state objective will roll into for reporting, the state objective number, and the title. You can find this information online under Table Maintenance – Descriptor (23) – Table ID number 72.

DAFR8750 (SS1: D7) Descriptor Table Report – D7 STATE DEPARTMENT Table
Lists all state department numbers. Shows the state department number and the title. You can find this information online under Table Maintenance – Descriptor (23) – Table ID number 07.
